Description

THE ATLANTIS GRAIL has been optioned for development as a feature film series and/or TV series.

You have two options. You die, or you Qualify.

The year is 2047. An extinction-level asteroid is hurtling toward Earth, and the descendants of ancient Atlantis have returned from the stars in their silver ships to offer humanity help.

But there's a catch.

They can only take a tiny percent of the Earth's population back to the colony planet Atlantis. And in order to be chosen, you must be a teen, you must be bright, talented, and athletic, and you must Qualify.

Sixteen-year-old Gwenevere Lark is determined not only to Qualify but to rescue her entire family.

Because there's a loophole.

If you are good enough to Qualify, you are eligible to compete in the brutal games of the Atlantis Grail, which grants all winners the laurels, high tech luxuries, and full privileges of Atlantis Citizenship. And if you are in the Top Ten, then all your wildest wishes are granted... Such as curing your mother's cancer.

There is only one problem.

Gwen Lark is known as a klutz and a nerd. While she's a hotshot in classics, history, science, and languages, the closest she's come to sports is a backyard pool and a skateboard.

This time she is in over her head, and in for a fight of her life, against impossible odds and world-class competition--including Logan Sangre, the most amazing guy in her school, the one she's been crushing on, and who doesn't seem to know she exists.

Because every other teen on Earth has the same idea.

You Qualify or you die.

Ok so I don’t usually take the time to rate or review books because I’m always on to the next story, but WOW. This book is so soooo good! I couldn’t put it down. No seriously, I had to wake up at 4 am for work and I read until 2 am and had to force myself to put it down and go to sleep. I found myself laughing out loud for at least 7 minutes at one point because Gwen is such a character! I started this book 3 days ago and I couldn’t help myself... I kept reading... and now I find myself on book #3. Vera Nazarian has me hooked!

I am totally in love with this series. I could read it over and over again and not get tired of it. I can not wait until this comes out in the movies. I have been following this series since Wattpad and look forward to the next step.

This book is one of those that will stay in your mind weeks after you finish reading it. Great plot, and great characters. I especially love the Command Pilot Aeson Kass; his character is amazing and has me feeling all kinds of stuff. I really enjoyed the book and will buy the sequel; you can re read the book and feel like you’re reading it for the first time all over again. Vera Nazarian, you are a genius this book is captivating and beautifully written. Really recommend if you enjoy reading sci fi/romance books. This book is a page turner and you will not be able to put it down. This book deals with themes of fighting for those you love and doing anything and everything you need to do, to help and save them. Love it !

This book has many different elements in it, some the same as competing to qualify for some type of prize. This book has teens qualifying for a chance to survive and live as the earth is hit with an asteroid. Physical trials and tribulations. Gwen Lark makes it through the finals and is whisked off to Atlantis with two of her siblings. Unfortunately her older brother gets to shuttle but not enough points. A sad day but Gwen swears she will be reunited with her parents an brother and all will be well or will it

Fantastic read! Absolutely loved the progression and escalating drama. My only complaint is that the training and finals weren't as detailed as the previous part before and during the semi-finals.
  • Tf do you know how music works

How many people in the world legitimately have perfect pitch? In a school of 2000 students, there are 10 or 20 at most. In your book, you say that a full 10% can tell exactly what notes a guy is singing, and also how to exactly replicate those notes. Have you ever played music before? I sincerely hope you haven’t, because that would make you a disgrace to the musical community
  • Very “Hunger Games”

While I did not find this as captivating as the Hunger Games, it was still worth reading. Some parts try too hard to replicate Hunger Games, and I found myself skimming over those parts to get to the more original aspects.
