The story was interesting to read. I love the twist involving the Brothers Gimm for the series. While reading I was wondering if some edits needed to be made and there was some good word choice that I didn't know and looked up to make sure it fit. I did get caught up in the story and wanted to find out/ read more. I'm going to finish reading this series.

Grimm’s tales are dragged kicking and screaming up to modern times, as three new Story elements are added: Mean Girls, Bullies and Social Media Unfortunately, these new elements become major players in the world that the author creates, and, like certain other characters who’s names shall not be mentioned, gain power over our us simply by their retelling. The original stories were thought provoking and scary in their own right. I’m not sure it’s necessary or wise for the author and the media in general to continue to push these new topics into the social unconsciousness of acceptable behavior of modern society. It’s not that the story or the telling here is bad, it’s actually quite interesting. I just think that like many modern authors, she’s promoting the destruction of society by empowering unsuitable behavior patterns without even making commentary on it. And these new story elements are being woven with more and more force, into the world we all must live in. I would love to see authors treat these ideas as the villains that they are, and not simply accept this bad behavior as background plot devices.

I had a situation where I did not read for a period of time, leaving the characters midstream. Yet the story line is concrete and simple enough to follow. Finishing Book 1, I was left wanting more. Not hesitating to continue the story into Book 2. Thank you
