Despite everything, Michael wants her back, but Dahlia can't seem to let go of the tangled emotions of the past. She flees home to Hartwell.
Determined to fight for their second chance, Michael follows Dahlia to Delaware, takes a job with the local police department, and does everything in his power to convince her they belong together.

  • Hooked from the first sentence

This book hooked me from the first sentence and did not let go. Just reading the prologue gave me all the feels. I could not put this book down. My heart was racing the entire time. There was some predictability, but it did not detract from the story at all. I loved Michael and Dahlia. They had great chemistry and I loved seeing the path their journey took. This was the first book in this series I’ve read. I did not feel lost at all or like I was missing anything. I will definitely be checking out the previous books.
